Dr. Paradise is particularly well-known in the Portland community for her intuitive and thoughtful approach to healing and her great empathy and compassion. In addition to her clinical training in chiropractic care, Dr. Paradise has received eight years of training in clairvoyant healing and energy work along with seven years of training in Craniosacral therapy. Dr. Paradise has survived a major head injury due to a car crash, and has recovered fully from that using all the tools she works with (and incredible help from Functional Neurology Doctors).
In her clinical practice, Dr. Paradise works closely with patients who have suffered injury from a motor vehicle collision or work related injury. Dr. Paradise has worked for several years with cold laser therapy. She has conducted in-house studies that show dramatic results in healing many conditions with this treatment, including concussions and head injuries, strains, sprains, bursitis and more. She specializes in helping to heal gut issues like GERD, IBS, CD, Constipation and offers a detoxification program. This program helps patients release toxins from their systems and relieves a wide variety of symptoms including muscle pain, joint aches, gut problems, headache, migraines, lack of focus/mental clarity and fatigue.
Dr. Paradise is a back wellness (Iyengar) yoga instructor, offering yoga classes to her patients to help strengthen their body and improve their flexibility and overall health.
Dr. Athena Paradise graduated from Western States Chiropractic College (WSCC) in March, 1986 as one of the youngest-ever graduates to receive a doctoral degree from that institution. Since then, she has practiced Chiropractic medicine in the Portland community and has served as both the president and as a board member of the Oregon Chiropractic Association. Additionally, Dr. Paradise has provided trainings for future chiropractic assistants with the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
